Over the past year we've been gathering feedback from licensing teams across our network. Not formal surveys or tick-box consultations, but the conversations that happen day to day. What's slowing you down? Where are the pain points? What would make your job easier?

The same themes kept coming up. Duplicate data entry. Records spread across multiple systems. Too much time on manual processes that should be automatic.

So we did something about it.

A single home
for licence holder records

MOGO is building a new CRM and centralised database, designed around the issues licensing teams told us needed fixing. The first module, the Licence Holder Management System, brings all licence holder information into one secure place.

Place an order through Direct Fulfilment or Self Service and the record is created or updated automatically. No duplicate entry, no copying between systems. Validation and duplicate detection are built in, so accuracy doesn't depend on someone spotting an error. Search on licence number, name or vehicle registration and the record comes up in seconds.

Any update appears in real time across every connected MOGO system, so the whole team works from the same information.

The future of licensing...
ePlates.

We're working on something new... ePlates are in development now. Our new digital licence plate with secure QR verification built in, so a licence can be checked in seconds. With its convenient handy size and long-lasting battery, the eplate will bring licensing into the digital age.

During the rollout of the new North Yorkshire Council in 2023, it was considered a priority that taxis should display licence plates with the new Council’s logo on from day one. Without MOGO’s collaboration, we would have faced challenges in producing and distributing approximately 1600 vehicle plates and additional signage in time to meet this deadline.
